Mister Percy's Run

A lyrical portrait of the mythic North Carolina moonshiner Percy Flowers told thru the lens of those who understood his drive best; his fox hounds. During his lifetime Flowers outmaneuvered 10 federal and 18 state or county indictments variously charging bootlegging, income and liquor tax evasion and unlawful purchase of a pistol. At the same time his fox hounds ruled the backcountry version of the sport. A special rule called cunning running was created to curtail Percy's winning streak. It penalized a quick-footed hound for seeing and running ahead of the fox.
